Dr. David W. Boers, DDS, PA

Dr. Boers is very excited about his two locations: Island Cosmetic and Family Dentistry and Chain of Lakes Dentistry in Windermere, Fla. For the past 30 years, Dr. Boers has practiced dentistry in the West Orlando area. Dr. Boers and his wife, Kathleen, have three children, Leslie, David Jr. and Tara.

Prior to settling in central Florida, Dr. Boers resided in Illinois. He grew up in a farming community in central Illinois. Dr. Boers attended undergraduate school at Northern Illinois University and Loyola University, earning a degree in psychology with minor areas of study in business and biology. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola School of Dentistry in Chicago. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Boers was associated with General Motors® in Plant Engineering and with Colgate/Palmolive® in marketing and sales.

Dr. Boers is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Greater Orlando Dental Society and the Academy of Forensic Dentistry. Continuing education is very important to Dr. Boers, and he attends professional conventions, seminars, study groups and self-study programs in order to stay current with advances in dentistry.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Boers enjoys spending time with his family. He also has many pets, including dogs, cats, birds and horses. Dr. Boers also has a love of music. He particularly enjoys playing piano, guitar and drums. However, most of all, he enjoys the practice of dentistry and the many friends he has among his co-workers and patients.

Dr. Michael Rowe, DMD

Dr. Rowe was born and raised on the Gulf coast of Central Florida in Citrus County. He has two sisters and one brother. He was on the football, wrestling and weightlifting teams playing sports year round while in high school. He worked multiple jobs since the age of 14 all while attending school. Dr. Rowe went to college as an undergraduate on an academic scholarship at both Daytona State College and University of Central Florida. He was a server all four years of college. While earning his associates degree in Daytona Beach, he was a member of the student government association, Phi Theta Kappa honor society and learned to surf. He has always loved the ocean and water sports. He earned his associates degree with honors in Daytona and then transferred to UCF to finish his Bachelors degree. Dr. Rowe studied biology at UCF and had an opportunity to participate with the sea turtle research program in Brevard county. While at UCF in Orlando he was a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota honor society, the American Student Dental Association and the UCF surf club. After graduating from UCF, Dr. Rowe attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. While there he was president of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, a member of the Delphi honor society, a member of the Alpha Pi Alpha honor society, a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, named national boards part one scholar, named Hinman Dental Society scholar, received scholarships and awards for being the top student in his class for Pathomedicine, Oral Pathology, Dental Materials and Endodontics. Dr. Rowe was a professor of dental assisting at ATA College while in dental school. He now lives in Cocoa Beach and enjoys surfing, fishing and sports of all kinds.
